Here's Jeanne as we start our morning walk from the hotel, through the Monkey Forest, to downtown Ubud. You can see the entrance to the Hindu temple, where the monkeys act as caretakers.

In from the Cold

Jeanne and I just came in from a cold walk with about 20 other folks about our age - a walking club. Réseau A-Vie-Forme

Every Wednesday evening from now until March, we will first warm up in a school gym, then head out for a one-hour walk - a different itinerary each week.

A great way to start to get into shape for other activities like snowshoeing, perhaps...

My first Blogger entry

How did I get here, anyway?

I was surfing around on SpotStop.com at 3am today, when I saw a link in someone's post - it was for wantgmail.com. Eventually I Googled "gmail invite", and hit a review of Picasa. From Picasa's site, there was a link to Blogger, because Picasa allows one to post photos to Blogger via a "robot".

So I finally ended my sleepless night by joining Blogger!

Now, if only I could get a gmail invite...
